Cost: £225 (total for both weekends)

Inclusive of teas/coffees in all breaks and a simple

soup and bread lunch on both Saturdays.

The Magnificat is a challenging work for 5-part choir and 5 solo voices. The workshop will be limited to 15 places (3 voices to a part), to maximise all participants’ opportunities to be coached on the solo arias and/or duet/trio movements as well as the choruses.

Every singer will need to be confident holding a line on their own. The whole  workshop will run with sections mixed up, so that everyone gets used to being independent from the start - so learning the notes thoroughly in advance is essential, and taking tricky corners and/or solos to Linda (or another teacher) during the autumn would be worthwhile. There will be bits that come unstuck when we first put it together, and we’ll fix those, but there won’t be time for teaching notes in the course of the workshop.

If you like the sound of this but are not sure, do please get in touch with Linda to discuss whether it’s suitable for you.
